zabaze gundam (finished)

the finished version of my custom build, this kit has been painted and panel lined.
I might upgrade it with different weapons later but for now I'm happy with it as it is right now.

zabaze gundam (work in progress)

A friend of mine had bought an hg 1/144 gundam zabanya and a hg 1/144 graze kai so that they could do some parts swapping to build a custom mobile suit and when it was done my friend offered me the leftover parts so I built this, I still have a bit of work left to do until it is finished but I felt like sharing some pictures of it as it is right now.

I got the name zabaze from combining the zab from zabanya and the aze from graze, I pronounce the name as zab-aze, also the word zabaze is apparently a real word that translates as doubt.

new project follow up: the gm-o-d gundam

 (this is the unpainted version)

I call this mobile suit the gm-o-d gundam, gm-o-d stands for the three suits I used to make it: the rgm-79d gm cold districts type, the gn-000 o gundam, and the xxxg-01d2 gundam deathscythe hell.

(this image does not belong to me)

I got the idea for this from playing the ps2 game ms saga: a new dawn in which there is a house in the game (marie's place) where there is a gm command head with a gundam v-fin (I think it's off of the mk2 gundam) attached to it in the background, I wasn't able to get a gm command so I used a gm cold districts type instead and I used the v-fin from the o gundam as well as the shield, the legs are from a spare deathscythe hell kit that I had, once I finished modding it I decided to paint it and panel line it as well, the paint job could have been better but my paintbrush that I was using is kind of worn out and isn't the greatest but from a distance the paint looks well done so it's ok I guess, also in the pictures it has a different gun in the before shots, I didn't like the way it looked so I switched it out for a machine gun I had from a rx-79 model kit and painted and panel lined it, the pictures aren't that great because they hide some of the details (the panel and thrusters on the back unit are painted but it doesn't show up in the pictures).

(this is the finished version (painted and panel lined))

I had thought about calling this suit the gm-o-d-79 because that would count all the kits I used to make it (because the gun is from an rx-79 model kit) but I decided to leave it as gm-o-d because it can be read as g mod which would stand for gundam mod which I believe fits perfectly because I modded a gm into a gundam.

(a side by side comparison of the unfinished version and the finished version (the left side is the unfinished ver. and the right side is the finished ver.))

it could have turned out a bit better but all in all I'm happy with it.
