leftover parts gunpla (work in progress)

I am currently working on a custom gunpla that uses parts from two different model kits so I ended up with enough leftover parts that I could build a second full mobile suit so I built this, it isn't anywhere near being done but I figured I would share it anyways.

1/144 hg eb-06/tc2 ryusei-go (graze kai build)

the ryusei-go graze built with the spare parts used for building the graze kai. I bought this kit on a whim, and when I realized that the kit was a remold of the graze kai and still had the parts for it I decided to build a ryusei-go version of the graze kai, also I gave it the gun from my schwalbe graze so it could dual wield with matching guns.
this kit has not been painted or panel lined.

zabaze gundam (finished)

the finished version of my custom build, this kit has been painted and panel lined.
I might upgrade it with different weapons later but for now I'm happy with it as it is right now.

zabaze gundam (work in progress)

A friend of mine had bought an hg 1/144 gundam zabanya and a hg 1/144 graze kai so that they could do some parts swapping to build a custom mobile suit and when it was done my friend offered me the leftover parts so I built this, I still have a bit of work left to do until it is finished but I felt like sharing some pictures of it as it is right now.

I got the name zabaze from combining the zab from zabanya and the aze from graze, I pronounce the name as zab-aze, also the word zabaze is apparently a real word that translates as doubt.

gm fencer

the gm fencer, a gm command space type with the weapons from the gyan. I put this together after building the gyan vulcan, I had not used the original weapons from the gyan so I gave them to my gm command, I think it looks pretty good and I am even thinking of maybe painting this kit.

this kit has not been painted or panel lined.

1/144 hg yms-15ss gyan vulcan

the gyan vulcan from gundam build fighters, built using the hg 1/144 yms-15 gyan and the hg 1/144 valuable pod. I had been thinking about buying and then building this kit for a long time and I finally got the chance to do it so I did, I wasn't sure if I was going to like the finished product or not but I ended up liking this kit quite a lot.

this kit has not been painted or panel lined, but it does have the eye sticker applied to it.

(also: I'm aware I put the shield handles on the wrong sides)

1/144 hg orx-005 gaplant tr-5 [hrairoo]

this model kit took a long time to build as I had lost motivation to finish it (too many parts), it was an interesting build though.

this kit has not been painted or panel lined and does not have any stickers applied.

1/100 hg xxxg-01d gundam deathscythe

my favorite gundam ever in hg 1/100 scale, the kit itself is alright as it is just an oversized high grade but I'm just happy to finally have a model kit of my all time favorite gundam.

the only part of this kit to have any paint or panel lining is around the eyes as I have done some panel lining around the eyes instead of using a sticker, other than that this kit has not been painted or panel lined.

composite bawoo (hg 1/144 custom built gunpla)

the composite bawoo, built using parts from three different bawoo model kits. I had some parts left over from when I built my rebawoo as well as an old prototype bawoo (the orange bawoo) that was missing some parts (I bought it used many years ago), and a regular bawoo (the green bawoo), so I built this kit so I could use all the parts I could from the prototype bawoo and all the leftover parts from the rebawoo and this is what I got, there are a couple things I could have done differently but I wanted this kit to look the way it does, all in all I am very happy with how it turned out.

this kit has not been painted or panel lined.

hg 1/144 scale amx-107r rebawoo

I purchased this kit some time ago and finally got around to building it. I like it but there are some things that annoyed me, mainly the fact that some parts need to be glued on (I got into gundam model kits because they didn't need glue) so that really annoyed me.

this kit has not been painted or panel lined.

1/144 mobile skeleton

inspired by the mobile flat, this kit is made up of parts mainly from hg 1/144 powered arms powereder and hg 1/144 skull weapon sets, this kit was easy to put together from the parts I had, it has extreme amounts of articulation and can be folded up into a flight/standby mode.

the mobile skeleton is a remotely controlled mobile worker mainly used for colony repairs/maintenance and removal of space debris, the head unit is filled with high powered scanners capable of scanning for signs of life as well as what material something is made of.

1/144 hg super fumina

I was finally able to get a super fumina kit (I didn't pre-order it and when the actual release date came I found out she was already sold out everywhere online but I got lucky because a local store had gotten a few so I bought mine from them), I took my time and carefully assembled her, I used a fine point gundam marker (gundam pen?) to do the details for the eye lashes and the buckles on her shoulder strap thingys, also I used the leftover parts to create a custom stand (I combined them with  a base piece from a figma stand), and lastly I gave her a green beam effect piece for her beam saber (I chose a green one so it would match the rest of her effect parts).

this kit was an interesting build, the hardest part being the eye lenses as they are so tiny, I was soo excited to get this kit and I love it and even though there are some things that could have been better I wouldn't change her for anything, all in all I am really happy with how she turned out.

1/144 ag (advanced grade) age-3 normal

I bought this kit on a whim some time ago, I had the thought that it would be similar to a no grade but I was wrong as this kit has even less articulation than a 1/144 ng (no grade) gundam seed model, it has only 5 points of movement which are: the arms (the entire arm will rotate around 360 degrees with no joints anywhere except where it pegs into the body), the head (the head is on a stationary ball joint but still has a decent amount of movement (a little up and down, tilt side to side, and can be rotated 360 degrees around)), and the shoulder wings ((don't know what they are actually called) they go up and down (not sure if they are suppose to moved but they can be)). and as for everything else you are basically getting a statue as there is no torso movement or leg/foot movement at all, the gun can be removed as it is made up of only two pieces (a handle piece and a body/barrel piece).

the kit is really well detailed and looks very nice as well there are zero stickers used so every color is from a different piece of plastic (I personally really liked not needing stickers), this kit is probably good for beginners or someone whom wants to practice painting but doesn't want to spend a lot of money as these kits are pretty cheap to buy.

all in all I would say I like the kit as it looks nice on a shelf and it adds something a little different to my collection.

1/144 ng (no grade) gundam seed model kit collection

this is almost all of my no grade kits, the only no grade kit not shown in this picture is my red frame astray gundam but aside from that this is my collection of 1/144 scale ng (no grade) gundam seed model kits.

from left to right: gunner zaku warrior [lunamaria hawke custom] and slash zaku phantom, strike dagger, bucue, sword strike gundam, duel gundam.

the two zaku's are knock off no grades (I think) and I have done some parts swapping on them, as well I have removed their back unit weapons, also the strike dagger is missing it's head antenna and beam saber handle (from the back unit).

sd gundam gashapon black tri-stars

so in my collecting I've managed to acquire a number of doubles, so many doubles in fact that I've started a second collection with the doubles. the last few times I've tried my luck at a gashapon machine I've always gotten a dom in the lot, so I decided to put them together to form the black tri-stars team.

I gave one of them a beam saber from another double instead of having three doms with bazookas which in my opinion would be a little boring. I'm not sure if these figures are real ones or knock offs because the colors aren't right and the quality seems a little poor but I like them regardless.

second hand gunpla

about a year ago I stumbled upon a gaming/toy store that sells new and used things, in their display cabinet there were a couple 1/144 ng (no grade) gunpla, I purchased them both for $5 a kit.

the two kits I got were the duel gundam (the one on the left) and the strike dagger (the one on the right), both kits are missing parts but at $5 a kit I don't really mind that much, when I bought the kits they had been assembled very poorly and I had to take them apart and fix them then put them back together (basically I had to rebuild them), I had originally planned on using them for parts and custom projects but I never got around to it, so for now they are just space fillers on my shelf.

sd gundam next rx-78-2 real type gundam

I recently purchased an sd gundam next gashapon figure, I didn't know what to expect since I'd never bought a figure from this line before and I was pleasantly surprised.

the figure is fairly small (smaller than what I thought it would be), it has a fairly large range of articulation, the figure does have one draw back and that is that it has some wrong coloring, this figure is usually listed as being the rx-78-1 prototype gundam but it is actually the rx-78-2 real type gundam and there are suppose to be a few parts that are a dark green color (at least according to my research) but it doesn't really bother me very much as it is still a very nice figure.

all in all I'm happy with it and I will probably buy a couple more from this figure line.

gundam converge: crossbone x-2

a while ago I purchased a gundam converge crossbone x-2 figure, and never got around to photographing it until now.

I am always amazed at how much detail these figures have for being so small, and out of my collection this one is definitely one of my favorites.
